        From Owensboro to St. Joseph Monastery

Traveling State Route 75 (Highway 231) from Indiana across the Ohio River

As you come over the bridge you intersect 3rd Street, go straight ahead one block then turn left onto 4th Street (60 E).  Stay on 4th Street for approximately 5 miles.  You will come to Highway 60 by‑pass (Wendell Ford Expressway) turn right. Go about 1 mile until you see Exit 9 and take this exit.  When you come to Highway 54 turn left onto 54 and then continue on this highway until you reach Crisp Rd.  Crisp Road is approximately 8 to 10 miles after you turn onto 54.  Watch for a Subway Restaurant on your right.  Crisp Road is a short distance past the Subway.  Turn right onto Crisp Road - go approximately 1 mile and you will see the monastery.

Traveling Audubon Pkwy to Owensboro

As you approach Owensboro you will see two signs; one for Downtown Owensboro and one leading to 60 by-pass - exit on to 60 by-pass – this is exit 24.  You are now on 60 by‑pass  (Wendell Ford Expressway).  Stay on the expressway until you see Exit 9, exit here which lead to Highway 54.  Turn right onto 54 and then continue on this highway until you reach Crisp Rd. Watch for a Subway Restaurant on your right.  Crisp Road is a short distance past the Subway. You will see a small green sign that says Passionist Nuns ‑ St Joseph Monastery.  Turn right onto Crisp Road - go approximately 1 mile and you will see the monastery.

Traveling William Natcher Pkwy into Owensboro

As you approach Owensboro you will see a sign that says Owensboro and one that says Hawesville.  Take the Hawesville exit and turn right off of Natcher onto the 60 by‑pass (Wendell Ford Expressway).  Stay on the expressway until you come to Exit 9 – take this exit which leads to Highway 54.   At Highway 54 turn right onto 54 and then continue on this highway until you reach Crisp Rd.  Crisp Road is approximately 8 to 10 miles after you turn onto 54.  Watch for a Subway Restaurant on your right.  Crisp Road is a short distance after the Subway.  Turn right onto Crisp Road - go approximately 1 mile and you will see the monastery.

            Traveling I-65 toWendell Ford Expressway to Whitesville
      (Note: This is not the same Wendell Ford Expressway that is the loop around Owensboro)

Come down Wendell Ford Expressway to the Caneyville exit.   Turn right at the exit and go 7 to 10 miles to Highway 54.  Turn left at 54 and continue on 54 through Whitesville, KY.  After leaving Whitesville, look for a Citgo Gas Station on the right.  Crisp Road is across from the Gas Station (Crisp Road will be on your left – you will make a left turn). Go approximately 1 mile and you will see the monastery.
