St. Gabriel Brings Us Visitors

We almost got whiplash as we were spun from the fasting of Ash Wednesday (Feb. 26) to the feast of our Passionist St. Gabriel Possenti (Feb 27)! Along with this feast honoring the patron of our novitiate, we also received the gift of a visit from two of our Passionist brothers. Fr. Paul Cherukoduth, CP, who is vice-provincial for the Passionists in India, was in the US to visit the priests of his province who are currently serving in America. One of those priests is Fr. Justin Nelson, CP, who was recently made pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church in nearby Louisville, KY, and who accompanied Fr. Paul to our monastery. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them, especially the opportunity to learn more about our Passionist family active around the world.

You’ll also notice another visitor we had that day - Erin (third from right in photo below) was with us for a live-in experience. It was a pleasure to have her among us for the week and we keep her in prayer as she continues her discernment journey.

Our community enjoyed a visit with Fr. Paul Cherukoduth, CP, Vice-Provincial of the Indian Passionists, and Fr. Justin Nelson, CP, pastor of St. Agnes Parish in Louisville, KY.
