Ransom - Repair - Rejoice

Today is the anniversary of the infamous Roe vs. Wade decision.Today, in our hidden monastic life, we keep vigil as spiritual mothers, praying and sacrificing for our nation.

...To repair for the grievous crime of abortion - the silent holocaust that persists in our country.

...For the healing of those who have aborted their children.

...For the conversion of those who perpetrate this intrinsic evil: health care professionals, law makers, and influential people, especially those who claim to be Catholic Christian.

...To compassionate the heart of Christ pierced by the sins of those who are silent and indifferent to this war in our midst.

For all this and more...we unite ourselves to our Crucified Bridegroom and his donative love which ransoms his people - the wounded bride, so that when time ceases we may all dwell in never-ending bliss with him in the bosom of the Father. May the most intimate relationship of  the mother and the child in her bosom be held sacred and protected in the United States of American and throughout our world.

These are our intentions from our first liturgical prayer of Office of Readings at 4:45 this morning, our contemplative prayer times, offering the Passion of Christ to the Father in the Holy Mass, simple meals, less recreation, during our extra adoration of the Blessed Sacrament this afternoon through our chanting of the Alma Redemptoris Mater after compline tonight.

As spiritual mothers we unite our lives to that of our Bridegroom to ransom, repair and rejoice the heart of our nation.

He is ever mindful of his mercy...
