Jubilaeum - Signs of the Congregation

Passionists deeply treasure our holy habit, a gift to our Congregation from the Mother of Sorrows herself. Our Lady appeared to St. Paul of the Cross clothed in a black robe, and she pleaded with him to found a congregation that would wear the same “garb of mourning and penance,” keeping her company on Calvary. Later visions revealed the distinctive Passion Sign, by which members of our religious family can be recognized the world over. What do these and other special signs of the Congregation mean to us as Passionists? Click below to read the latest Formation and Catechesis bulletin, which contains reflections on the topic by Fr. Paul Francis Spencer, CP!

Secondly, please keep our Sisters in prayer as the first half of us begin our annual 8-day retreat today. Both the “Marys” on retreat and the “Marthas” hard at work count on your spiritual support!
