Remembering Our Blessings - 75 Years in Western KY

The Year of St. Joseph has just concluded, and the calendar year 2021 is swiftly drawing to a close. It’s a good opportunity to look back and remember the ways that our loving Father in Heaven has blessed and guided us on our journey towards Him. Here at St. Joseph Monastery we have spent the past year and a half in “Jubilee mode,” celebrating several important anniversaries for our Passionist Congregation and our own community.

The last of these, the 75th anniversary of our monastery’s foundation in Western Kentucky, was a particularly joyful occasion, as we were able to welcome many friends who had not been able to visit us since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Jubilee Mass and reception took place on October 3, and although we’re a little late, we want to share some photos of the special day with you! May God be praised for all the ways He has blessed us in these 75 years … and may His grace continue to sustain us for many more years to come!

The flame of Christ’s light ... shines even more brightly now from this Monastery of Saint Joseph as a beacon to the world ... that there is something worth living for, someone worth giving everything for, a flame of love worth cherishing within the walls of enclosure.
