Dear Friends,
Our Bishop Medley has invited the whole diocese to observe Friday, December 17, as a Day of Prayer and Fasting for the victims of the tornados this past weekend. As the “praying heart” of our diocese, the Passionist Nuns will be participating in a number of ways, and we want to invite you to join us.
One of the things the Bishop is encouraging is to make a Holy Hour as a part of this day. We will have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament all morning on Friday, and you are most welcome to come make a personal Holy Hour in our chapel during that time. You are also warmly welcome to join us for any of the following liturgies:
7:00 AM Holy Mass, offered for the tornado victims
Eucharistic Adoration all morning, starting at the end of Mass
9:30 AM Stations of the Cross
12:00 PM Midday Prayer and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament
We hope you will come and pray with us here at the Foot of the Cross, as we lift up our suffering brothers and sisters during this time of trial! May God bless you and all your loved ones this Advent Season.
