Monastery Rock Garden Gallery

Greetings from Kentucky!  It has been a long time since I gave you an update on the monastery rock garden. The last photos showed the harvesting of rocks from the creek this past spring (before the snakes, spiders and ticks made their summer debut). At first we just worked on it on feast day afternoons beginning on Thanksgiving Day 2013 but as Corpus Christi (June 2014) and the public outdoor procession in our cloister garden drew near work time, silence time and retreat time was used to complete the project.

Also, I wanted to create a photo gallery with these pictures. Isn't this neat! Just click on the first picture in the upper left hand corner and you can move through the developmental stages of the rock garden.  Pretty cool!
