Sister poses with her baby picture (from the “Guess Who” game!)

What better way to start off your week than with some glad tidings?

Last Wednesday, our Sr. Miriam Esther of the Sacred Heart renewed her temporary vows during Mass! Three years ago, Sister made her first vows: to promote devotion to and grateful remembrance of the Passion of Jesus, as well as to live poverty, chastity, obedience, and enclosure. Now, according to the guidelines of Holy Mother Church, she has renewed those vows for another year. God willing, after another one-year renewal in October of 2025, she will be eligible for perpetual vows in 2026!

Though the ceremony was simple, it was beautiful and meaningful for all of us. As Sister Miriam Esther herself expressed to many of us, she felt even greater joy today than on the day of her First Profession! Please keep our Sister in your prayers as she continues to grow in understanding and living the vowed Passionist life.
